CATHERINE ISABELLA GREUB
Catherine Isabella Greub, a Chicago native, is a junior at Northwestern University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications and holds an associate’s degree in communications from The College of Lake County. Currently a press assistant for a Member of Congress from W. Virginia, she also continues to serve as a Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Metropolis of Chicago communications intern. Catherine has served as a congressional press intern; The Greekend social media intern; and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Her mom, Mary Greub, resides in Lake Forest, IL.
KYRIAKI ANNA MELIZANIS
Kyriaki Anna Melizanis, a Leonia, NJ native, is a junior at the University of Delaware majoring in media communication. She is a finalist for publication in Delaware Public Media, and has served as Alpha Delta Pi Sorority leadership engagement specialist; Hellenic Student Association event planner; BergenPAC Performing Arts social media intern; and UDel Office of Admissions ambassador. Currently studying and interning in London, she is a recipient of the Girl Scouts Silver Award and a national finalist in the Archdiocesan Oratorical Festival. Kyra is the daughter of Markos and Stacy Melizanis of Leonia, NJ.
SOPHIA LORRAINE PANDELIDIS
Sophia Lorraine Pandelidis, a Sharon, MA native, is a summa cum laude graduate of Boston College with a degree in international studies and a concentration in cooperation and conflict. With graduate journalism studies in her future, she is currently a full-time associate producer with the PRX Radio news show and Podcast Series Living on Earth. She has served as an associate editor with Fresh Ink, an intern with The Clough Center for Constitutional Democracy, a policy intern with The Council for Court Excellence, a coordinator with the International Assistants Program, a teaching assistant for Global Implications of Climate Change, and a Global Citizen Year media fellow. Sophia is the daughter of Yanni and Jody Pandelidis of Jamestown, RI.
ANASTASIA MARKELLA POULOS
Anastasia Markella Poulos, a Flushing, NY native, is a junior at Stony Brook University majoring in journalism and political science. This academic year, she will be the Treasurer of the Stony Brook Chapter of the Society for Professional Journalists. She has served as a Berger Hirschberg Strategies LLC development researcher; on the Keith Powers for City Council campaign; Dos Santos Lab intern; Center for Civic Justice intern; and Vertically Integrated Programs Project team researcher. A member of the National Speech and Debate Association and Stony Brook Greek & Cypriot Club, she is a recipient of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Three Hierarchs Award of Excellence. Anastasia is the daughter of John Poulos and Irene Bellos of Queens, NY.
ARIANA KATERINA PSARAKOS
Ariana Katerina Psarakos, a native of Athens, Greece who holds dual citizenship, is a recent graduate of The University of Florida in Gainesville with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in English. A multimedia reporter for the PBS/NPR affiliate WUFT News, she has also done stints as the main anchor and producer. During her time at UF, she also served as a multiplatform editing intern and social media coordinator for Mikis Radio in Athens, Greece. Ariana is the daughter of Theodore Psarakos and Gogo Tsakoyani, both residing in Athens, Greece.
ALEXIS LEA ZACHARAKOS
Alexis Lea Zacharakos, a Ridgefield, CT native, is a sophomore at Northeastern University pursuing a journalism major and criminal justice minor. A writer and copy editor of The Huntington News, she attended The American Farm School, Thessaloniki, and the French cultural immersion program, Paris; is President of the National Charity League and a member of the Hellenic Society of Northeastern. Alexis is the daughter of Dino and Eve Zacharakos of Ridgefield, CT.
