ALEXA ANTHONY EMILIOS SAVVIDES
recently earned a degree in Journalism from Northeastern University. Anthony’s experience includes positions writing for Living Arts Co-Op, The Boston Globe; editorial assistant, Tut tOggi I tal ian news websi te; news correspondent, The Huntington News,Northeastern; and documentary production intern, Somerville Community Access TV.This summer, he will be working for Trans Terra Media in Beirut, Lebanon, a news organization that sells freelance work to other media outlets. Anthony is the son of Notis Savvides of Valley Stream, NY and the late Harriet (Michael) Savvides, and is a member of St. Paul’s Cathedral in Hempstead, NY. He is the grandson of Savvas and Androulla Savvides of Kofinou, Cyprus and the late John and Annetta Michael.

PHOEBE BARGHOUTY
begins her senior year at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor this fal l , pur suing a t r iple major in Communication Studies, American Culture & Modern Greek, with a minor in Environmental Sustainability. She has served as a staff writer/multimedia producer, The Michigan Daily; contributor, Forbes Middle East, Dubai; international news reporter, WOLV-TV, Ann Arbor,MI; intern,WAAY-TV ABC First News, Huntsville, AL; and an intern, Greek Ombudsman Citizens Advocacy Group. Phoebe is the daughter of Nasser Barghouty of Huntsville, AL and Maria Pantazopoulou of Atlanta, GA and attends St. Nicholas Church in Ann Arbor,MI. She is the granddaughter of Souad Barghouty of Jordan, the late Fakhri Barghouty, and the late Yannis and Eleni Pantazopoulou.

KATHERINE A. KALLERGIS
begins her senior year at the University of Florida this fall, pursuing a degree in Journalism. She has served as copy editor, Independent Florida Alligator;managing editor, Orange & Blue ; web editor , WUFT; writer / photographer, Our Town and Senior Times magazines, staff writer, Insite Magazine, newsroom intern, Gainesville Sun; webmaster, Les Dames D’Escoffier, Miami; co-web editor, Sparks Magazine and will intern this summer with The Miami Herald. Katherine is the daughter of Nick and Wendy (Economy) Kallergis of Coral Gables, FL and is a member of St. Sophia Cathedral in Miami, FL. She is the granddaughter of the late Ted and Mary Kallergis, formerly of Nassau, Bahamas, and the late George and Anita Economy, formerly of Bangor, ME.

JOHN GREGORY KAPETANEAS
will graduate from New York University in December with an MA in Journalism, focusing on Business and Economics Reporting. He holds a degree in economics fromthe University of Connecticut and has served as a production intern, ABC News 20/20, Primetime & What Would You Do; associate segment producer, GoodMorning America; reporter/researcher, Forbes Media; and a researcher for an upcoming book on BernardMadoff. This summer, he will continue his internship weekdays with Forbes and weekends at GMA. John is the son of Gregory Kapetaneas of Fairfield, CT and Anastasia (Vlandis) Kapetaneas of Shelton, CT and attends Holy Trinity Church in Bridgeport, CT. He is the grandson of Panagiota Kapetaneas of Fairfield, CT, and the late John G. Kapetaneas and George and Nina Vlandis of Trumbull, CT.

STEPHEN MICHAEL KEIMIG
recently completed his freshman year at Franklin Pierce University, where he is studying Mass Communications, Journalism & Media Production. He has been a credentialed reporter, 2012 Republican National Convention; credentialed reporter, 2013 Presidential Inauguration; student rep, WBZ Radio’s Talk the Vote series with Dan Rea; writer/co-producer of his own campus TV program, Cloudy With a Chance of Steve; contributor, WMUR, The Union Leader, Monadnock Ledger and Holden Landmark; member of Fitzwater Center’s Presidency in the Press Program and is currently mentored by Marlin Fitzwater; senior reporter, Pierce Arrow and The Exchange and chair, Politics FitzU. Stephen is the son of Michael and Stephanie (Bakos) Keimig of Rutland, MA and is a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Shrewsbury,MA. He is the grandson of Christine (Panagiotopoulos) Bakos, the late Charles J.Bakos, and the late Emilia Keimig.

ELENI ANASTASIA LAZARES
recently earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Ohio University.Eleni’s experience includes positions as: news intern, The Today Show; anchor/reporter, Newswatch Nightly News, Athens, OH; multi-media reporter, WOUB AM-FM Radio; reporter/host, Straight Up, Athens, OH; reporter, Athens Midday News; news intern, WKRC-Local 12 News, Cincinnati; promotions intern, Clear Channel Radio, Columbus and will intern this summer at E! News in NYC. She is the daughter of John and Patricia (Patsios) Lazares of Maineville, OH, and a member of the Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Church in Cincinnati, OH. Eleni is the granddaughter of Basil and Eleni (Hanzis) Patsios of Watertown, MA and the late Gus and Anastasia (Minas) Lazares of Hamilton, OH.
